Q&A with JOHNNY MADCAP

Johnny Madcap from L.A. is vocalist/guitarist on "Johnny Madcap and The Distractions" with his pals Justin/bass, Colin/guitar and Jan/drums.

Jeffy: You're planning going on Euro Tour 2011, are there any details out yet? Which countrys do you wanna play and who plans the tour?

Johnny: Yes Europe is definately in our sites but when we will be there exactly can't say yet. We would like to play as many countries as possible. A kind of worldwide distraction.

Jeffy: How did you get the idea for your band's name?

Johnny: wrote a song called Distractions and originally I was just gonna do a solo thing but I needed a band and loved that song so Johnny Madcap and The Distractions were born.

Jeffy: Describe your music in 5 words.

Johnny: A way to forget problems

Jeffy: When can we see the video for "On the Radio"?

Johnny: We are going to Headline a show in LA on Feb 19th and debut live there and the next day it will be available for free on the internet.

Jeffy: Justin, you played in loads of bands already, Prima Donna for instance why did you left and do you think you'll stay with Johnny forever?

Justin: I left Prima Donna when we got back together. This band is where my heart is and I will stay with Johnny until this roller coaster is over

Jeffy: What were your main influences musically, and how do you think it has helped the band's sound?

Johnny: Our influences vary so much it's hard to pin them down but anything on the radio in the 60's or 80's is probably an inspiration. I don't know necessarily if it helps us but it definately keeps us fresh. Some of the greatest music came out of those periods and we'd like to keep the heart of that time beating
